Yandex.Browser has become more accurate in translating pages

Yandex Browser now translates pages using artificial intelligence. The program analyzes the content, layout, design and type of text. All this makes the translation more accurate.

The browser can translate navigation elements and titles. He compares speech patterns, vocabulary and other features of headings in different languages, and then independently forms translation rules. An example of how the system works is shown below.

As for navigation elements, the developers have compiled a database of about two thousand short phrases, which is used when translating buttons and menu items. Therefore, the word back “Yandex Browser” translates as “back”, but in the text it can choose another option – for example, “back” or “back out”.

The browser only translates the part of the page that the user sees, so translation is faster. So far, the program takes into account the type of text only in the most popular directions of translation, including from English into Russian, from German into Russian, from Chinese into Russian and English, and from English into Turkish.

The innovation is available in Yandex Browser for PC and Android, and will soon appear on iOS. For the desktop version, the update can be installed manually through the settings, or you can wait a few days until the browser updates itself.
