WhatsApp will share data with Facebook

WhatsApp has updated the service’s terms and privacy policy. Now the popular messenger will share user data with Facebook. You cannot refuse this – you can either accept the new conditions or not use the service.

All changes in WhatsApp policy are listed on the official website. It also says that the information that the service shares with Facebook companies includes account registration data (for example, a phone number), transaction data, service information, data on interactions with other users and companies, device information, IP address, and more. …

The transfer of user data should improve the delivery of personalized ads, help in making purchases and transactions, as well as increase the level of safety, security and integrity of all Facebook products.

The offer to accept the new terms appears automatically in mobile applications upon launch. You cannot refuse it. All changes will come into force on February 8.
