Apple has released a public version of the new macOS 11 Big Sur. It brought the first major design change in years, a new iOS-style sidebar, improved base apps, and other cool innovations. Plus the already standard performance improvements.

How to install macOS Big Sur

  1. Click the apple logo → About This Mac → Software Update.
  2. If you do not have a Big Sur plate, wait a few seconds while the computer checks for updates.
  3. Click on the “Update Now” button and follow the instructions on the screen.

In the first version of the new system, there are serious errors that prevent you from using the device. It is recommended that you back up your Mac using Time Machine before installing Big Sur.
