The next iPhone will be able to provide even faster data transfer speeds.
According to the Korea Times, Apple representatives are currently in talks with the Korean operator SK Telecom to release a new smartphone this year that will support the LTE-Advanced standard. In the meantime, the only device with LTE-Advanced support on SK Telecom’s network is said to be Samsung’s Galaxy S4.
LTE-Advanced is an improved version of the LTE cellular communication standard, support for this technology will allow a smartphone from Cupertino to provide data transfer rates up to 150 Mbps. It is reported that the upcoming iPhone model will be capable of such achievements thanks to the use of new solutions from Qualcomm.
