Huawei held another presentation, where it introduced the new smartphones Nova 8 and Nova 8 Pro. They received Kirin 985 processors with 5G support, curved OLED displays and rear photo modules with an unusual design.
The base model Nova 8 features a 6,57-inch FHD + display with a 90Hz refresh rate. A single 32 megapixel selfie camera and a fingerprint scanner are integrated into the screen. The amount of RAM is 8 GB, and the built-in memory can be installed 128 or 256 GB. Battery – 3 mAh with support for 800W charging, allowing you to replenish 66% charge in just 100 minutes.
At the back, the Nova 8 has a quartet of cameras with a 64MP main sensor, an 8MP wide-angle module and a pair of 2MP sensors for macro and bokeh.
The Nova 8 Pro is slightly larger, with a 6,72-inch display at 120Hz. The display has a built-in dual camera with sensors of 32 and 16 megapixels, where the second is intended for portrait photography. The main camera is surprisingly exactly the same as the base model.
The RAM can be 8 GB, and the built-in memory can be 128 or 256 GB. The Nova 8 Pro has a 4mAh battery with the same 000W charge via USB-C. The smartphone also features support for Wi-Fi 66 and Bluetooth 6 (versus Wi-Fi 5.2 and Bluetooth 5 for Nova 5.1).
Both models run Android 10 with EMUI 11. On December 30th, they will be available for sale. The prices are as follows:
- Nova 8: from 3 yuan (≈299 rubles);
- Nova 8 Pro: from 3 yuan (≈999 rubles).
