Google Translate received a big update with instant translation features

Google has released the largest update to its Translate app for mobile. The translator app got 2 new features.

First, Google Translate has learned to translate words using a camera. Last year, Google acquired WordLens and is now using their work in its program. This is how it looks:

Several languages are available for translation: English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, and what is especially nice – Russian. This feature works without internet connection.

Secondly, Google has implemented real-time voice translation capability. Two people speaking different languages can get a translation of the interlocutor’s phrase almost instantly. Great chips for travelers!

The updated Google Translate will be available in the App Store and Google Play in the coming days. Keep an eye on the “Updates” tab in the app store.
